Dorothy B. Sobczak

Dorothy Sobczak , 93, passed away at Good Samaritan Society in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, on February 25, 2019. She was born in Stetsonville, Wisconsin, to Hermine and Andrew Cypher, on March 10, 1925, the sixth of seven children. After high school graduation, Dorothy moved to Chicago for employment. There she met and married Casey Sobczak in 1947. They resided in North Riverside, Illinois, and it was there that she worked as a waitress, and raised her family, until retirement, whereupon she and Casey relocated to Hot Springs village. She loved the village, taking part in many activities, and exploring all the area had to offer. Dorothy especially enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, card games and fishing. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Ronald (Patricia), and daughter, Diana Erickson, grandchildren Neil, Jennifer, Daniel, five great-grandchildren, sister Beatrice, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband Casey, brother Clarence, and sisters Catherine, Florence, Marie, Marcella, and son-in-law William and grandson Michael.

Mass is at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, HSV, on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
